Lauren McDonald – Cheerleading

Family: Shane (husband), Camryn (daughter -8), Colin (son – 5), Cooper (dog), and Bella (cat)

Career Beyond Coaching:  Beyond Cheer I am currently a SAHM (stay at home mom!). I’ve been a SAHM for five years after leaving a position at the City of Dublin in their Division of Communications and Public Information after my second child was born.

Why I Coach:  “I coach because of the passion and love that I have for the sport and the cheerleaders. I want to continue to make a positive impact on future generations.”

Why Marysville:  “My parents moved to Marysville in 2007. We moved to Marysville in 2010. It is where we began to raise our young family and where our daughter began her schooling. I love the small town feel and sense of community it has. Marysville holds a very special place in my heart and always will.”

Program Mission & Vision:  “My mission and vision for the Marysville Cheer Program is to develop strong and confident young adults through the sport of cheer, preparing them for their next stage of life beyond high school. By setting high standards and expectations, the program will teach valuable life lessons and build strong athletes. I want to uphold the pride and tradition of the Bunsold Middle School and Marysville High School Monarchs through the unification of the student body, alumni and fans.  I’m so proud to be a part of such an amazing community, school and program.”

Klarke Ransome – Girls Basketball

Family: My beautiful and loving wife’s name is Sydney. We have been happily married for 6 months now, and currently live in Delaware. We are parents to two wonderful four legged boys (dogs), Oscar and Morrison. We enjoy walking the dogs, spending time on our patio, and spending time with friends and family.

Career Beyond Coaching:  I am currently the Adapted Physical Education teacher at the Harold Lewis Center in Marysville. Such a rewarding job, and one that I truly enjoy.

Why I Coach: “I coach first and foremost because I love building relationships with kids, being around student athletes, and teaching/coaching them. I enjoy pushing student athletes to be their best, and continue to strive to get better not only in athletics, but in life. Coaching also gives me the opportunity to share my love and passion for the game of basketball with others. The feeling I get when I see individuals improve and put team goals and team success above their own is unexplainable.  When a team comes together, is unselfish, and develops a family atmosphere amazing things can happen, and that is the goal.”

Why Marysville:  “I have been lucky enough to coach at Marysville for the last 4 years on the boys side. The community as a whole, the school staff/administrators, and student body is so much fun to be around and be apart of. Such wonderful people, that are a joy to work with and be alongside.”

Program Mission & Vision:  “To develop a competitive, tough, and loving culture that girls want to be a part of.  A program that the community and school can and will be very proud of, all while making sure we focus on doing the little things the correct way and to the best of our ability.”
